Company History
AftaSport, Inc. was started in the Spring 2001 by
Ken Johnson and Ken Theobold. Johnson
and Theobold began the company with the goal of providing the first full-body
wet&dry cleaning towel.
Paul Harrity purchased the company in July, 2002. Harrity
is an entrepreneur with a wide range of business experience who has run several
multi-million dollar operations.
His intent is to take
ShowerExpress towels to the level of common household product
world wide.
AftaSport , Inc. has followed a business plan for
careful growth in a variety of markets. The
towels were initially placed in local fitness and sporting good stores. Following
a very positive response to the product, they were sold to regional golf
retailers and catalogs. Our towels
have been well received overseas and national expansion is continuing. Our
production capabilities have also grown exponentially.
October, 2002: AftaSport,
Inc. introduced three-pack. The company also
initiated the new tamper-evident zip-lock pouch.
February, 2003:
AftaSport, Inc. introduced
ShowerExpress
label to highlight the "many" uses for the product outside sporting activities, including
applications for camping, tanning, and medical environment.
March, 2003: AftaSport,
Inc. began receiving orders from military personnel overseas and family members
and friends anxious to support our troops. AftaSport
made substantial contributions of product to our troops.
April 2003:
ShowerExpress towels are used at the prestigious
Boston Marathon. The BAA medical
community requested our towels in the medical tents. Towels
were also given out to the elite runners per the BAA.
December 2003: AftaSport, Inc.
introduced the
ShowerExpress Six-pack.
Consumers will now have the ability to purchase value pack with 6 towels in
tamper-evident zip-lock pouch.
January 2004:
